Sensory Friendly Concert
with featured ensemble Chione Woodwind Quintet
Chione will share the musical story of Pāka’a Lanakila, a
little boy living in Hawaii, composed by Hawaiian native
Jon Magnussen. The ensemble will engage children by
intertwining musical learning, storytelling and American
Sign Language. Participants will use these signs to interact
with the music throughout the piece as they listen for and
identify each theme with the appropriate signs in context.
This 45-minute story time program can be enjoyed by ALL
ages, from babies to children at heart.
